quintessential queries for the 40-something age group. A good number of us are either stuck in a job we have no feeling for or we bounce from employer to employer in hopes of finding our perfect niche. Finding the right job can be a difficult task, to say the least.
But how do you find that golden career choice that fits your personality to a ‘T’? Figuring out your Natural Mission is one of the first steps. In order to do this, it is helpful to categorize your life into 3 different areas:
What Is Your Vision?
What is it you dream of most? Doesn’t it stand to reason that if your career path is more in line with what makes you feel full of joy, you will have a much better chance of rising to the top? Our visions of what we wish life should be are what drives us to succeed.
What are your Values?
Our values are a large part of what make us who we are. Aligning the working portion of our day can only help to improve our mood, production and creativity. Once you ethically and morally know what your values are, spotting a career to fit with them becomes a simpler task.
What are your Roles?
Roles are an important piece of the puzzle; after all, if you already know what you are doing you are one step ahead of the game! The roles you play can be as small as knowing how to type fast to grand ones of understanding the complexities of marketing!
So why are these three categories so important? When you have in-depth knowledge of these areas of your life, you can then tie them together to get a much clearer picture of which career path you should choose. Once you know what your vision, values and roles are, finding the right job or career becomes a matter of matching what you know about yourself with who or what will allow you to focus your efforts in your preferred areas of expertise.
Of course, this is only the beginning of your success! Many factors need to coalesce to enjoy true career bliss. Among a few of those factors are having solid time management skills, having enough personal energy and knowing when and where to delegate tasks.
